My name is Patrick Onofre and I am a light and shadow warrior.
The story goes like this: I graduated from Johnson & Wales with an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management. I've been around food ever since I could start working at 16. The original plan was to open and operate my own restaurant. Then, the plan became running a coffee shop by day, bar and music venue by night.
However, after staying at a friend's house, surrounded by cameras and photography equipment, I quickly discovered what I was really passionate about. Moments later, I would realize that, as crazy as it would sound, I wanted to jump head-first into starting my own photography business.
Since leaving my day job in 2010, things have been great. I regularly shoot for and work with the United States Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment and have been a guest speaker at American University multiple times. I've had my images printed in numerous books, magazines, and other publications such as the Washingtonian, American Way, and the Washington Post. I am a member of the American Photographic Artists and have a podcast called "Staying In Focus", where I have the pleasure of talking to some of the most creative and talented photographers in the business. I've shot weddings, celebrities, Fortune 500 companies, gourmet food, rehabilitating Marines, and everything in between. It's been a truly amazing experience so far, and I am always taking the opportunity to grow and share my passion for photography with everyone!
My mission is to provide my clients with photos that go above and beyond their expectations, as well as displaying a unique, personal, and artistic perspective. I hope this site gives you the insight you need to learn from my mistakes or share in the joy of my successes!
